Organisational Strengthening, Membership Engagement & Communication
An institution built for the industry and by the industry — a unifying platform where voices converge, challenges are collectively addressed, and shared priorities are advanced.
The Federation of Indian Plywood & Panel Industry (FIPPI) has always been an institution built for the industry and by the industry. With a diverse membership comprising manufacturers of all scales and regional associations from across the country, FIPPI serves as a unifying platform where voices converge, challenges are collectively addressed, and shared priorities are advanced.
Strengthening Membership Engagement
Through continuous engagement — seminars, stakeholder consultations, trade meets, technical sessions — FIPPI ensures that its members remain informed, connected, and empowered. The Federation functions as a central forum where both legacy enterprises and emerging manufacturers find representation, support, and a collective voice.
Strong membership engagement has reinforced FIPPI's ability to effectively represent industry interests in national policy discussions and global trade platforms.
Key initiatives undertaken to strengthen membership participation include:
- Expansion and strengthening of membership base, currently comprising 44 Primary Members, 20 Affiliated Members, and 1 Associate Member.
- Increased representation of regional associations as affiliated members, supported through waiver of joining and annual fees.
- Reduction in primary membership fees from ₹1,00,000 to ₹50,000, making participation more inclusive.
- Introduction of alternate committee members from the younger generation, alongside principal members, to encourage leadership continuity and fresh perspectives.
Industry Exhibitions and Outreach Platforms
FIPPI actively participates in major national exhibitions and trade fairs to enhance industry outreach, visibility, and engagement. Participation in platforms such as MATECIA and INDIA WOOD 2025 has enabled FIPPI to highlight the sustainability, innovation, and economic importance of wood-based panel products, while reinforcing the role of agroforestry in supporting farmers and rural livelihoods.
INDIA WOOD 2025 — Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR
INDIA WOOD 2025 marked 25 years of excellence in woodworking and furniture manufacturing. As one of Asia's largest trade fairs, the event highlighted India's growing stature as a global manufacturing hub, with a strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and advanced technologies.
FIPPI's active participation included the establishment of a dedicated FIPPI Pavilion, which served as a focal point for engaging with industry stakeholders. The Pavilion facilitated dissemination of information on Quality Control Orders (QCOs), BIS certification, standardisation initiatives, skill development, and sustainability practices within the plywood and panel sector.

Communication and Knowledge Dissemination
FIPPI continues to strengthen its communication channels to ensure timely dissemination of information and greater industry connect. The Federation publishes its flagship quarterly magazine, "Indian Wood & Allied Panels", which serves as an authoritative industry voice covering policy developments, regulatory updates, technical innovations, and sectoral insights.
In parallel, FIPPI has established and actively manages its official digital presence, enhancing real-time engagement, outreach, and visibility among industry stakeholders, policymakers, and the wider public.
Way Forward
Looking ahead, FIPPI aims to further deepen member engagement through:
- Capacity-building workshops and training programmes on regulatory, technical, and sustainability themes
- Enhanced two-way communication mechanisms to strengthen member feedback and participation
